Ensuring the best manufacturing techniques are carried out within the Machine Shop by practical application of the most appropriate methods of programming, setting and operation of the machine tool/tools and to stimulate an atmosphere of continuous improvement.

Duties and responsibilities of the Cylindrical Grinder
You will be grinding, internal, external, setting, and operating as required, all machines, such as the Studer S40, 1.6m between centres, and a new Danobat HG72-3000, 3m between centres. You will be ensuring that the methods, tooling and fixtures are used effectively to achieve a cost effective quality product in accordance with the production requirements.

Qualifications for the Cylindrical Grinder
Essential:
o A minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a high precision manufacturing environment
o Wide ranging grinding/manufacturing process knowledge, across differing materials in varying applications

39 hours per week
