CMM INSPECTOR

Hours - 17.00am to 3.00am Mon – Thursday & 17.00pm to 2:30am Friday with 30 minute unpaid lunch break (Total 39hrs)


16.5% shift allowance for late shift.


Hourly rate £16.00 to £19.56 doe


PURPOSE OF THE JOB CMM Inspector

The main purpose of the position is to ensure components are inspected to drawing tolerance, specifications, efficiently and accurately with a high attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities CMM Inspector

  • Inspect parts, CMM or manual methods, adjusting CMM programs
  • Multiset CMM’s When Required.
  • Perform in process, first off and final inspection activities on all products and evaluate conformance to engineering requirements
  • Ensures all quality related matters are raised during Inspection to the Quality or Production Team for resolution.
  • Maintaining a quality first outlook on all inspection activities and decisions made
  • Ensures that all documentation and reports are maintained and completed accurately. This could be updating PCP’s, Critical feature requirements and FAIR Data.
  • Raise nonconforming material/products and support corrective action activity / investigations when required


Person Specifics of the CMM Inspector

Essential                                                                           

Proficient in alternate controls software to create programs for inspection

Previous experience in a similar role.

In Depth Knowledge of GD &T

Understanding of CMM Best practice

techniques.


Desirable CMM Inspector

PC-DMIS Platform

Working knowledge of Mitutoyo CMM’s

using COSMOS Platform


CMM Inspector 

Qualifications

Essential                                       

Recognised CMM Training or Programmer/operator training


Desirable 

ONC/HNC level or equivalent Certified internal auditor

Full apprenticeship/time served in machining or relevant skills applicable to the role

Adjusting CMM programs & Writing Programs
